Lack of resources Many companies have down-sized the staff that processes their telecom and utility invoices.   With the increased invoice lead time and multiple invoice types for all locations, most companies already do not have the staff to analyze and audit the invoices from procurement to payment of the invoice.  How can RadiusPoint manage the entire telecom and utility invoice lifecycle?
Lack of accurate inventory Most companies do not have an up-to-date inventory of the services, equipments and contracts that make up their entire telecom and utility environment.  The multiple vendors and carriers involved with these services and a decentralized ordering process are most often the culprit.  How can RadiusPoint help your organization?

Lack of automation Processing each invoice takes time and finding errors within these invoices takes even more time.  Achieving invoice payment and validating each charge on the invoice is the ultimate goal and responsibility of the Accounts Payable department and many companies do not have the staff or technology it takes to fully analyze and pay the telecom and utility invoices.  How many late payments are assessed to your organization for not getting the invoice processed and paid in time?  Find out how RadiusPoint's ExpenseLogic software can assist your organization.

Decentralized/maverick spending Enterprise customers with multiple locations and multiple employees who are allowed to place orders for services and software experience maverick every day.  A decentralized ordering process creates confusion within the organization and creates an increased expense due to the inability to use centralized spending for global purchasing power and leverage existing contract rates for the most competitive pricing for telecom and utility requirements.  Find out now how RadiusPoint can control maverick spending and create a centralized order repository for your organization's telecom, IT and utility invoices and services.
Insufficient Expertise Most telecom and utility analysts within an organization only analyze the service costs for the current month compared to the previous month.  Most organizations do not have the staff with the level of expertise necessary to perform detailed analysis of these invoices and services.  How can RadiusPoint's certified staff help you manage your telecom and utility invoice lifecycle?

RadiusPoint hosts European Representatives

July 07
Memphis, TN, 7/30/07 RadiusPoint hosted their European Representatives, Theo Fransen of Investigo and Leslie Friedrich of Friedrich Software in Memphis last week. RadiusPoint brought their representatives and business development group together to perform knowledge based information sharing for current and new services provided by RadiusPoint. Additionally, Theo Fransen of Investigo analyzed various buildings in the Memphis area for energy efficiency.

The buildings analyzed were found to have need of the full building check-up as performed in Europe by RadiusPoint partner Investigo, to identify further savings in energy efficiency. “The building efficiency check-up is thorough and detailed, which in Holland saves an organization 25% to 45% of their energy usage” states Theo Fransen, director of Investigo. “People don’t realize how a small change in their behavior can save their organization money each month, which in turn lowers Co2 emissions, “adds Fransen. The European Union has requested that all buildings have the energy efficiency audit for their buildings and an audit of their invoices to ensure accuracy. These same services that are so popular in Europe are finding their way to the United States through RadiusPoint’s partnership.

The energy efficiency check-up identifies areas of possible change that are of a technical or behavioral nature. Technical areas checked involve lights, HVAC, glass and roofing materials, and some of the changes can present a positive Return on Investment of 25% of annual energy invoices. Behavioral areas analyzed normally create a greater savings due to the fact that there is usually very little cost to change the behavior to create the savings. In the European countries this service is creating a huge advantage due to the tax incentives given by the government. The European government has allowed for a 45% tax incentive for all organizations that are following the requests and having their buildings checked and their invoices analyzed.

Proof of the savings will be provided by organizations that use the RadiusPoint service and the proprietary software ExpenseLogic, to analyze usage on a monthly basis and prove savings. RadiusPoint will provide the organization the Utility Expense Management invoice processing services on a monthly basis. This will ensure that the invoices are correct each month and it also will allow the organization to prove their reduction of usage. This service which includes the receipt of the invoice, the audit for accuracy, and imaging of the invoice, will allow the organization to prove their savings for the government rebate.
Another immediate advantage for the organization is the service provided by RadiusPoint’s staff that involves not only identifying the error, but contacting the vendor to reconcile the invoice and obtain refunds on behalf of the client on a monthly basis. In Europe it is estimated that 96% of energy invoices are in error and in the United States it is estimated that more than 80% of telecom invoices are in error. These errors cost organizations large amounts of money each year, which is why the Utility Expense Management and the Telecom Expense Management service is being used by the most forward thinking organizations. RadiusPoint’s Utility Expense Management and Telecom Expense Management services involve a monthly management of the invoices and constant review of the charges from the vendors. The invoices are established in the software so that the charges for each department would be allocated appropriately and in a timely manner. RadiusPoint has the invoices processed for payment and allocated within a few days of the receipt of the invoice from the vendor. The timeliness of the services enables the staff to review those important issues or services immediately and at their desktop instead of going through stacks of invoices.

RadiusPoint developed this technology-based, problem-solving software ExpenseLogic, to manage the daily issues and invoices that stem from a company’s Energy, Telecom and IT expenses. Deregulation of energy and gas commodities in Europe has created a confusing mix of vendors. The legacy billing platforms of the vendors have not kept up to pace with the service offerings which have lead to errors that do not benefit the organization. RadiusPoint partnered with Investigo Consultancy, located in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, will provide a full menu of services to procure, audit and manage the monthly energy and gas expenses.

ExpenseLogic is a fourth generation technology-based, problem-solving software, used to manage the daily issues and invoices that stem from a company’s Telecom, Utility, Energy and IT expenses. Additionally, the Provisioning and Help Desk portal allows a company to centralize and validate the entire Procure-to-Pay Lifecycle. The electronic method of reporting trouble at the various facilities will save Facility Managers hours on the phone. The portal will also give instant information on the status of troubles placed by multiple end-users.

RadiusPoint provides a broad portfolio of business and technology solutions to help its clients worldwide improve their business performance in the area of Utility Expense Management and Telecom Expense Management. Providing this single solution platform is a key differentiator in the Telecom Expense Management (TEM) and Utility Expense Management (UEM) industry. Core services consist of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), Software as a Service (SaaS), and License Software with respect to Telecom, Utility, Energy and IT invoice and expenses. RadiusPoint uses ISO 9001:2000 certified processes and meets government regulated standards (Sarbanes Oxley) through SAS 70 certification. RadiusPoint’s corporate headquarters is based in Memphis, Tennessee with a service office in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. A second service office is scheduled for opening in Istanbul, Turkey by the end of 2007.
